Mount Vernon Tour
Sunday, April 6, 2008   12:30pm - 5:00pm

If you haven't seen Mount Vernon, home of our first president, now is your chance!  On Sunday, we have rented a bus to take you to the other side of Alexandria where Mount Vernon sits above the Potomac River.  It's a trip back to the colonial times, with guides and performers dressed as the residents would have dressed when George and Martha lived there.  In 2007, a new visitors center was built to provide information about this wonderful historic estate.  There is a food court and restaurants on the grounds of Mount Vernon.

The bus will leave the hotel at 12:30pm and drive you to Mount Vernon.  The cost is $26 which includes tranportation and admission to the estate.  Once there, you can wander on your own or join a guided tour.  The bus will leave Mount Vernon at 5:00 pm and return you to the hotel.
